Phase I
In March 2007 MRI Cardiac Services, Inc (dba Prova Images), working with Wake Forest University Health Sciences (WFUHS), received a Phase I STTR grant from the National Institutes of Health. The aims of the grant were to define software requirements and produce an initial version of an automated commercial software platform for analyzing and reporting dynamic measures of coronary, central and peripheral arterial blood flow and function.

Phase II

A Phase II STTR award was granted in July of 2010. The prime researcher and lead investigator of Prova Images' Phase II work is Dr. Gregory Hundley, director of cardiac MR at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and instructor at the medical school, Wake Forest University Health Sciences (WFUHS). Other researchers will include experts from the WFUHS: Craig Hamilton Ph.D., Associate Professor Department of Biomedical Engineering  at WFUHS; Dr. Michael Rocco, professor nephrology WFUHS; Tim Morgan Ph.D. Professor Biostatistical Sciences WFUHS and Stephen Kritchevsky, Ph.D., Professor of Internal Medicine, Gerontology and Geriatrics and Director, J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation.
